Inspired by the emergent sounds of early dubstep, he started focusing on production and DJing in 2005. He was involved in running Leeds' first-ever dubstep night and, in 2007, established the Hessle Audio label along with friends Ben UFO and Pearson Sound. Since his debut 12" released in 2007, Pangaea's productions and DJ sets have continually expanded to encompass a growing diversity of influences, reaching outward to integrate techno, house and jungle into their rhythmic axis.
