Located at an old gas works in N18, our new home plays homage to its’ industrial background and history. The borough of Enfield played a major role in the industrial expansion of the 19th and 20th century which took place in Lea Valley, and saw a great number of local inventions.
Between the 1930s and 1970s, the site was run by Willoughby Lane Gasworks before it became derelict for 21 years. It was briefly used for recycling of demolition wastes until 2001, after which it underwent remediation in 2006. Since then, it has remained disused until next year, when we re-open the gates in June 2019 for Field Day.
