Field Day’s music hall revival stage, Do You Come Here Often, reaches back to once raucous days of the East End’s own Folies Bergere – the Shoreditch Empire – which stood proudly as a beacon of debauched revelry until 1935. We’ve given the ideas an update but kept the sense of gaiety and an edge of anything goes to anything could happen. Last year’s stage was a roaring success and we’ve got even more for you this time around. A collaboration with Time Out’s cabaret enthusiasts brings more than your usual burlesque to Field Day. Alongside the oddities there’s a DJ set from The Filthy Dukes and live performance from the king & queen of Americana Oh! Gunquit (pictured). Make sure you leave handbag space for the latest free copy of the Do You Come Here Often? magazine. The tent will burst with performance art, hula-hooping, burlesque, flapper girls, rock n’rollers, an operetta, a vintage clothes stall, town criers and you’ll even be able to get your nails done.
