Jane Weaver has been making quite an impression over here at Field Day HQ recently. Her brilliant album ‘The Silver Globe’, released on Andy Votel’s Finders Keepers label this year, is a perfect collection of self produced synth driven tracks, bringing together a whole range of amazing collaborators with astonishing results. Featuring names as diverse as David Holmes, Cybotron and Andy Votel himself, the The Silver Globe is brought together perfectly with Jane’s distinctive and octave leaping vocal style.
An independent artist for many years, Jane Weaver is a rare example of a passionate and resilient artist who re-creates, re-invents and refreshes where many others come and go. Her dreamy synth driven sound has earned plaudits across the industry and has built a long-standing and devoted fanbase. Releasing albums on her own imprint Bird Records, her back catalogue well worth taking the time out to discover if you haven’t already. Truly an innovative and genuine talent, we are really looking forward to catching Jane on stage at Field Day on Sunday 7 June.
Fans of Stereolab, Broadcast and dream pop sounds in general do not want to miss this.
