Stevenage’s Bad Breeding burst on to the scene in 2014 with their excellent debut track Burn This Flag and caused quite the stir; gaining tags such as ‘Britain’s best new punk group’ which for a band so young might seem like a lot of pressure. You get the feeling though that the band are too busy making raw guitar walls of sound to care about hype or what people are saying about them. This was proved with the excellent follow-up single Chains, which was so full on and in your face that there’s little room to take in anything else whilst you listen to it. The track was picked up by Zane Lowe on Radio 1 as well as a whole host of others and further cemented the group as one of the most exciting British guitar bands at the moment.
If you like your guitars loud and abrasive, and bands with a full-on attitude, then Bad Breeding are for you and will definitely be the Field Day Sunday wake-up call that you’re after.Listen
